Search “celebrity net worth” and you’ll find dozens of sites offering a number with no explanation of where it came from, no date attached, and often no meaningful difference from five other sites that appear to have copied each other. We built AskNetWorth because we think that’s a low bar for a topic people genuinely rely on — whether they’re satisfying curiosity, researching a public figure, or trying to understand how someone actually built their fortune.

Our mission is simple to state and harder to execute: every figure we publish should be traceable to a real source, dated, and explained — not just stated as fact.
How AskNetWorth Started
AskNetWorth was founded by Salman Sarfraaz, who leads research and editorial direction for the site. The idea came from a straightforward frustration: net worth information online is abundant but rarely trustworthy. Numbers get repeated from site to site with no visible sourcing, stale figures sit unchanged for years, and there’s often no way for a reader to tell whether a number reflects genuine research or a guess dressed up as fact.
The site was built around a different standard from day one — every profile would need at least one named, dated source before it could be published, and figures would be revisited and updated as new information emerged rather than left to go stale.

AskNetWorth publishes net worth profiles across a wide range of public figures, organized into focused categories so readers can browse by the area they’re actually interested in:

What Makes AskNetWorth Different
We built this site around a handful of principles that we think are missing from a lot of the net worth space:
We source everything
Every profile lists the specific publications its figures came from, with links where available. If we can’t trace a number to a credible source, we don’t publish it — we mark it as not publicly disclosed instead of guessing.
We date everything
Net worth changes, sometimes dramatically and quickly, especially for people whose wealth is tied to a single company’s stock price. Every profile shows exactly when it was last reviewed and updated, so you know how current the figure actually is.
We explain disagreement instead of hiding it
Major trackers like Forbes and Bloomberg frequently disagree on the same person’s net worth, sometimes by enormous margins. Rather than picking one number and presenting it as settled fact, we explain why the estimates differ when that’s relevant — usually down to how each tracker treats unvested stock, private company valuations, or market timing.
We don’t copy other net worth sites
Our research process starts from primary and authoritative sources — regulatory filings, court records, contract disclosures, and established financial press — not from reading a competitor’s page and rewording their number. Full detail on this process is available on our Methodology page.
We protect privacy where it matters
We never publish a person’s exact home address, and we never name a minor child. Where real estate is discussed, it’s described by city or region only. We don’t run stories built on rumor, unverified claims, or gossip-site speculation.
Our Editorial Process
Every profile on AskNetWorth goes through the same process before publication:
- Research — we identify the top existing coverage of a person’s net worth and cross-reference the figures each source reports, along with the date each was published.
- Verification — we trace every material fact back to a named source. Figures that can’t be verified are either left out or flagged as unconfirmed.
- Original writing — profiles are written from the underlying facts, not rewritten from another site’s article. We don’t publish content that closely mirrors an existing source’s structure or phrasing.
- Review — before publishing, we check that every figure is sourced, that income and asset breakdowns are internally consistent, and that nothing in the profile violates our privacy and safety standards.
- Ongoing maintenance — profiles are revisited when a major event occurs (a large deal, a new annual wealth list, a significant market move) or when a reader flags something that needs review.

We take net worth estimation seriously, but we also want to be honest about its limits. Nobody outside a person’s own accountants has complete visibility into their finances — every net worth figure published anywhere, including on this site, is an estimate built from public information, not an audited financial statement.
