Andre 3000, real name Andre Lauren Benjamin, is a famous American singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist and actor. He is widely recognized as part of a duo OutKast. Although his achievements in acting are not as impressive as his career in music industry, Andre has appeared in a number of films and TV series, including the Shield, Families, Four Brother, Semi Pro, Be Cool and Revolver. Andre was born in Georgia, to Sharon Benjamin Hodor, a real estate agent, and Lawrence Walker. His parents were never married and the boy grew up with his single mother. It hit Billboard 200 at No. 2 and sold over 500 copies during the week after its release. The sales from this album, which was certified 4xPlatinum in an autumn of 2003, added a solid sum to Andre 3000 net worth.
